We've all been worried before. Over little things, over big things (or well.. Seemingly big things!) and it can make you real upset, and drag you down so low, you can't see any light in the hole you dug YOURSELF.
Because worry is something which WE produce ourselves!
And so then, we ought to be able to control it then right?
Easier said then done as most people would agree. Worry achieves nothing, and it gets you nowhere but down. But faith can put worry aside.
Faith reassures you that you've made the right decisions. Faith reminds you that there's more to life, puts things in perspective. Faith brings happiness through any situation. Faith is where you can put your worry.
Sometimes life will get you down, sometimes you will just plain freak yourself out, but faith will always bring you peace.

Finding a needle in a haystack may seem a truly impossible task.
But miracles happen everyday, and i have experienced for myself, absolute love.
That something as small as a nut can be recovered from all the many places in Singapore is truly mind blowing. Faith met with provision, breeds even stronger faith. And all i can say is thank you.
God is good, all the time!

Good day!
Here is a short little welcome back post for all of you!
And most importantly, YOU :)
The wedding has come and gone, and with it the flowers have faded. But still ever grateful for what i have, for the person i have, beside me.
I truly love more and more each passing day, and become increasingly dependent on that loveliest of smiles. Time apart seems to crawl a little slower, and pierce the arrow through the heart a little deeper. But to see and smell and feel and... taste! It makes all the waiting worth it.
How is married life different?
Somehow in the blink of an eye, the mention of a word, nothing else seems to matter. Your priorities change very drastically, to caring for and loving your spouse, infinitely more so than before. You don't think you can love any more than you already are, but... You can.
It's an endless concertina of love on love.
Cynics and possibly married couples may beg to differ. But i believe it's all perspective.
In the grand scheme of things, every argument, every fight, exists to give you the opportunity to show true, unselfish love. They exist to make the bonds between you and your spouse stronger. As long as you're both on the same page, both believe in that simple fact, the endless concertina of love on love continues till death and beyond.
Much like how a steel sharpens a knife (well actually... it straightens it rather than sharpening...), each of us is here to sharpen each other. To make each other a better person.
To the lady i love more than anyone else on Earth,
I LOVE YOU.

Hello Joy!
And hello my dear readers!
It is a day away from the big day and the last little details are being cleared up.
It's been a long time since i have posted and this could very well be the last post before i become a married man!
EGGGGGGGGGGCITING!
Really though, it's been such a wonderful journey thus far, and it has honestly been OK in terms of stress. I can see how you could so easily freak out if you hadn't spaced things out as nicely as Joy and i have unintentionally done! I'm thinking of Alex and his mad rush!
So that's a lesson to Mr Loy and Ms Mok... Prepare early!
Inevitably though, there are many things which spring surprises on you along the way, and many things which slip your mind (that's 2 minds btw!). I'm glad that i'm running around with the loveliest person i know, even though it is tiring! Oh the heels!
It's a windy brick road that lays ahead, and there are going to be bumps and twists and turns... But just as with anything, i'll keep my eye on the prize, and i'll make my way to the end, best friend in hand.
This post really does feel like closure, on a life once known, and i look forward to the new life that is to come with great intrigue, encouragement, hope and love.
People will tell you to stay single, less headache, no one to answer to. And others will question you if you know what you're getting yourself into. Are you sure you want to tie yourself next to someone for the rest of your life???
If you don't step out into the unknown, you will never know what goes beyond.
I have found the person that makes me the happiest, that lets me be me, and encourages me to be. She teaches me more about myself and makes me the best person that i can be each and every day. She is the person that has stolen my heart, and i will spend the rest of my life letting her.
No waiting to see if it works out (in other words, no looking for failure), just faith. In God, and in each other.
I'm glad that i have someone to put my faith in. To worry for me, to carry my burdens for me, to guide me and lead me, to forgive me. It truly brings me happiness and peace. Life without just wouldn't be right.
Thank you Big G, i'll see you when i see you, and Jocelyn Chan Siew Mei...
i love you.

Is remembered by this person as a cyclist who picks form up very quickly. I am glad that i am the same!

Another Faber session has resulted in more even times, with less fatigue. And the legs are coming back every so steadily. A few more sessions on that hill and some speed workouts and i'll be all set for............. Our wedding of course! Must be trim and fit for the big day!
Where do your designer jeans go to when you die? Or what happens to that latest iPod, iPad or all those i's? Selfish tools! It's all about.. i! You take nothing to the grave but your actions, your words, your thoughts. Jealously and greed get you nothing. Don't believe that materialism is an endless pursuit with no happiness?
Let me ask you.. Before you had a carbon fiber bike and you were riding an aluminum bike, didn't it seem like it would make you the happiest person ever to own carbon? When you owned a carbon fiber bike, didn't carbon bars and stem seem like they would make you the happiest person ever? When you wanted to changed your aluminum wheels for carbon ones, didn't you think it would make you the happiest person ever? When your bike was all tricked out and UCI illegal, enough carbon fiber to open a factory, didn't your friend's bike seem better? When you changed to that bike didn't your other friend's bike seem faster? When you got yourself that faster bike, didn't you get the idea yet?
Materialism is a seemingly shallow abyss. It gets you nowhere, and it doesn't make you happy.
You want to know the real secret to happiness?
Live your life not for yourself. Live it for others.

Hola!
It's been a while since i have last posted a proper post!
It's been hot see... and... and... and... OK! I've been lazy alright!
I have been on the bike again after bruising my tail (go look at the skeletal system... (it sounds nicer as tail no?)) and so far, much pain! Not so much from the tail, but from the lungs squishing and wheezing with no air, and the legs not really wanting to go round in circles.
So today i had a grand old time on Faber, coaching in the morning, then doing some reps myself after. Times were going well, negative split, negative split, nega....POSITIVE POSITIVE POSITIVE!!!!!! Ok i over-exaggerate, my first lap was the slowest, but not by much!
Had a coin fantasy at the Ban Mian stall, leaving the stallholder, slightly bemused, slightly ticked off.. They don't really like the 10, 20, 5 cent thing..
Had a nice air-conditioned lunch with my favourite person on earth (so lucky right?) and enjoyed some pasta with a side of ban mian. I have to say out of the 2, i prefer.... JOCELYN!!!!! Ahhhhhh!

HAPPY SQUIRREL!
Went to Tampines to do the MTB thing and i didn't fall off which is always AWESOME! Tired heart, but good to keep the technical skills up to par! Did the BMX thing for while too.. OK.. a long while.. and got some...................
AIR TIME!

Again with the over-exaggeration.. It was a foot, if i'm optimistic! But i have to say.. It was an awesome feeling! I know that is pathetic but hey! Air time is air time is air time! I want to go BIGGER! And hopefully clear the top and land on the downside! Tomorrow maybe?
Unfortunately my tail is a little sore now, but.. who cares! Air time!
Of course no one saw it because who would risk falling off their bike in front of people right???
Alrighty it looks like the sky is about to crack open.. Breathe in the rain!
Till the next post! (soon!)

Good day to my readers across the world!
Hello! :)
Yesterday was a fantastic day, albeit a very tiring one!
Joy and i got our pre-wedding photos taken! I was super eggggggggggggggcited about it and it was soooooooo awesome, it was S'AWESOME!
Saw some of the photos through the display of the camera, and they look really nice! It was a really nice bright and sunny day which was great! It was really super hot and clear the day before so i was scared that it would rain.. But even if it did, i am very glad to report that both of us would have been smiling away nonetheless!
Headed down to Ang Mo Kio in the morning, got make up done and the lady complained about my bushy eyebrows! hahaha! Joy was looking very pretty like princess in make up, the gowns and with the hair! Cindarella!
The indoor shots were quite nice but what really made the day was the outdoor ones! When we headed out to location 1 (you'll find out when you see the book!) the sun thankfully died down a bit! Wearing a suit and a gown in that heat...... rather uncomfortable! And a superstar moment came when an Italian lady, following a tour group, came up and asked to take a photo of us! Not so common for them i guess! The dark clouds were looming in the distant horizon though so i was worried we wouldn't catch the sunset. But lo and behold, by the grace of God, the dark clouds cleared at location number 2 and would you have it, we got some of the most amazing shots in.. An ang moh cyclist passed us and said congratulations which i thought was very nice! But the shots were nicer!
I thought we had some unique props which you don't normally see, and so... i can't wait to see the photos! EGGGY! Eggy, cited!
I'm so grateful for the wonderful day, but most importantly, for the wonderful person i have beside me.
3 more months J!
I LOVE YOU!

China?
NOPE!
Just your regular neighbour digging holes in your back yard!
I am so sore i can't even squat due to some manual labour, toiling out in the open fields, shovel in hand.
The days tick by ever so slowly, progress crawling like freeze frame after freeze frame...
OK.. I exaggerate! 3 rollers in less than half a day! Pretty cool! The neighbours seems to have caught on though and so i think it prudent to lie low for a while! Don't want to end up in the news for the wrong reasons!
Went to the dentist with J, for the first time in 6 years! Dr Shawn Beng doesn't seem to age... Nor his dental gizmos and drills. I had to fill cavities, which is probably unsurprising since i haven't seen him since i collected my retainers. I actually still do have them lying in their yellow box... I tried putting them on a few times but they just hurt too much now! OOPS!
Cookies stay tender if you let the dough rest.
